If you are looking for an adrenaline-fuelled yet safe activity for the whole family, then Laser Rush Ballito has you covered! Laser Rush offers all the action of paintball but none of the mess or pain.
Situated in Sugar Rush Park in Ballito, the realistic open-air arena filled with derelict buildings, rustic obstacles and trees, affords both the novice player and the trained sniper the opportunity to test his/her combat skills. Beginners need not fear as Rachel and Jess are warm and friendly hosts who sit each group down before playing to explain all the ins and outs of the ‘weapons’ (98 custom Tippmann Laser Tag guns imported directly from the USA, fitted with state-of-the-art computer boxes which read all scores) and the rules of the game. There are a variety of games to choose from, including team games such as ‘capture the flag’ as well as individual ‘every man for himself’ rounds. During my visit, we played both of these: a half hour of ‘every man for himself’ and a team round of ‘capture the flag’, where the adults annihilated the kids – much to their disgust!
For those who wish to watch rather than play, there is a covered picnic seating area from where the entire arena is visible – a great place to relax and watch the drama unfold. Go grab a coffee at The Digs Kitchen, sit back and enjoy!
Laser Rush Ballito cater to all needs, including birthday parties, functions, team building, leagues and walk-ins. They even offer evening bookings by prior arrangement. Laser Rush Ballito is open during the school holidays as well as most public holidays, excluding Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Operating hours are as follows:
Reasonably priced, walk-ins can play a 30 minute round for R65 or a 1 hour round for R100 and there are also a variety of party packages available.
